As
I am beginning to work on my ePortfolio and looking back on all of the
courses, assignments, and the friends I have made I have during my time
at Liberty University and can not help but feel thankful. I am thankful
first and foremost to God for giving me the strength, ability, and
knowledge to make it through. Having a family, working a full-time job,
and attending graduate school full-time has not been easy. But, by the
grace of God, I can see the finish line. “But
Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but
with God all things are possible” (Matt. 19:26, KJV). I
can honestly say I have not had any negative experiences with my course
work, professors, or classmates and for that, I am grateful. My family
and friends have provided support by way of encouraging words,
babysitting, and advice.
I
have Microsoft Office Specialist certificates in Word and Excel; I have
never taken the exam to become a specialist in PowerPoint. However, I
do find PowerPoint to be enjoyable. As someone who has to sit through
many professional presentations, I think a good tip is to keep it
simple. Too much information on one slide is overwhelming and drastic
changes such as color schemes can be distracting. I personally feel as
though I do not have an artistic bone in my body, so for me,
understanding the slide editing options has been essential. For example,
when you insert an image, you can change the color saturation and add
artistic effects from the Format tab. It allows you to turn a dull image
into something that fits your theme and style.
I
have enjoyed interacting with you all through this course and many
others. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.
